10/15/09

I've been doing P90X for seven weeks now. My weight stayed the same, but I lost 7 1/2 inches!!! WOOHOO!!

I'm going to finish up the seventh week of p90X and then I'm going to start Chalean Extreme. I think it's time to do a change, continue with the inches and maybe lose a few pounds!

Listening to Robert Ferguson's podcasts and his eating regime. Makes a lot of sense.

I haven't posted in a a week or so. I went up another pound but my measurements are going down. I just got done with the rest week, so I'm back to working out with weights, which I do enjoy.

Boy, I haven't blogged in a few days. I kept up with the program this week, for the most part. I could only do 1 hour of yoga and then I switched my day off. So yesterday, my day off, I got on the treadmill and walked in an upward climb. Worked my way to 7. Then did 2 minutes at 7 and then brought it down to 3 and did a minute. Repeated that for 40 minutes and cooled down. I burned 450 cals!!

I'm going to start adding cardio to the workouts. Either I'll do it before or I'll do it at night. I want to try and get 30 minutes of jogging or fast walking in. Trying to get the scale moving!!

Did not weigh myself today....needed a break!

Got to do Plymetrics today!!! I was shvitzing like anything. Burned a little over 600 cals. Tomorrow is shoulder and arms, which I like a lot because I like the way my shoulders are starting to shape up!

Today is the first day of the third week I'm on P90X. I have improved a lot from the first week. OMG, I was struggling so doing the pushups. Today I did more than last week. I challenged myself to do at least two extra on the pushup exercises. The chinups I do with the band. I'm on the blue band, which in my bands is the heaviest one. I'll probably have to start looking for heavier bands. But for right now the blue is challenging enough.

I remeasured my boobs since I had the wrong bra on yesterday. I went down a 1/2 inch...YEAH!! I'm a 38DD, and I want to wear tanks and not have my boobs be the first thing people see. I would love to get down to a 36C. That would be my ultimate.

My waist went down 1/4 inch. After remeasuring my boobs and adding up the thighs right, I have lost a total of 3 1/4 inches in two weeks. That's damn good!!

Then there's the weight. Have gained 2 pounds since I started. As Coach Coni says, the body is getting used to this type of exercise. I haven't worked out like this in my life. I'm working out 6 days a week. My goal this week is to jog on Sunday for 45 mins. We'll see what the weight does during the fourth week. I'm also following the eating plan, so that should make the scale behave better!!!:)

I feel a lot better and much stronger. I'm starting to get Michelle Obama shoulders and upper arms. There's starting to be a definition there!!

This blog is done...gotta get back to a boring dep I'm working on.

Did my rest day yesterday and I'm going down to do Kenpo. I did splurge at dinner last night with some wine, a very small onion ring and about 10 potato chip fries, but I ate them slow and they tasted sooooo good. And I had 2 1/2 glasses of wine, which I haven't had in two weeks. Dinner was 1/2 burger with avacado, salsa and onions. Dessert at my cousins, a scoup of vanilla ice cream with peaches, but he cooked the peaches in some butter and brown sugar. Yes, it was indulging, but I needed those tastes to get me ready for my next week. I'm a pound heavier than yesterday, but I'm not getting crazy about it.

I just measured myself with great results:
Bust: 39 1/2 - will redo because I'm wearing a different bra from the first time
Waist: 35 1/4
Neck: 12 1/2
Shoulders: 45 1/2
Hips: 41 1/4
Thighs: 24 1/4
Calf: 14 3/4
Bicep: 12

Total inches lost in 2 weeks: 2 1/4. I did gain in the calf and bicep, but I was expecting to gain muscle there.

I cannot believe it, but I got legs/back in last night when I got home. My husband waited for me to eat dinner. It's not just my life changing with this exercise program, but also the people around me. He knows how important it is to me and is being very supportive.

I decided to have my rest day today and to Kenpo tomorrow morning. I was hurting a lot when I got up this morning, so I figured I would have a better workout tomorrow as I should be more flexible. I'm going to try and get a walk or run on the treadmill later.

I also started writing what I'm eating and I'm following the food guide that came with P90X. I'm sure it will be somewhat challenging when going out to eat with my cousins tonight, but I'll do my best...........forget the rest!!
